Is there a cure for lung cancer bone metastasis?

Is there a cure for lung cancer bone metastasis?

1. Bone metastasis of lung cancer is a manifestation of advanced lung cancer. The vast majority of patients can prolong part of their lives or improve their quality of life after treatment. Most patients may be unfortunate, but some patients can be cured.

2. The type of lung cancer in these patients is more sensitive to targeted drugs. The patient has lung cancer and bone metastasis has occurred. At this time, it indicates that the patient's disease has developed to the late stage. At this time, the possibility of completely curing the disease is relatively low. For patients with lung cancer bone metastasis and belonging to the category of oligometastasis, surgery or radiotherapy can be used to cure oligometastasis patients.

What is the difference between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung?

Lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are both non-small cell lung cancers. The biggest difference between adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma is that adenocarcinoma is prone to early metastasis. For example, although the lung lesions are relatively small, there will be brain metastasis, bone metastasis, and even liver metastasis during diagnosis.

Adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are collectively referred to as non-small cell lung cancer. If the tumor is found to be limited, without extensive and distant metastasis, and the cardiopulmonary function can be tolerated, the treatment is mainly surgical. After surgery, based on the pathological stage, if postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy are needed, postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy are recommended.

Both of them belong to lung cancer, but they have different names because of the different sites of onset. Taking the bronchus as the boundary, the site of onset above the bronchus is squamous cell lung carcinoma, and the site of onset below the bronchus is adenocarcinoma of the lung.
