Is it poisonous if the insect bite turns purple?

Many insects like to bite people. If bitten by an insect, people will experience various symptoms. For example, many people will experience purple bites at the site of the bite. This phenomenon is not necessarily caused by poisoning, but regardless of whether you are poisoned or not, the bitten area must be treated in a timely manner. Next, I will tell you how to deal with insect bites!

1. Anti-inflammatory

For children with severe symptoms or secondary infections, antibiotics can be taken orally to reduce inflammation. At the same time, the bitten area should be cleaned and disinfected in time, and an appropriate amount of erythromycin ointment should be applied.

2. Anti-scratching

Parents should supervise their babies to wash their hands, cut their nails short, and be careful to prevent children from scratching bites to prevent secondary infection.

3. Prevent infection

After being bitten by mosquitoes, babies may develop local infection, redness and swelling due to scratching, and some may even have purulent secretions. For children with severe symptoms or secondary infections, give the baby an appropriate amount of oral antibiotics to reduce inflammation. At the same time, clean the bitten area in time and apply erythromycin ointment.

Mosquitoes are the main vectors of Japanese encephalitis and a variety of tropical diseases (such as malaria, filariasis, yellow fever and dengue fever). If your baby is found to have high fever, vomiting, or even convulsions in summer and autumn, you should seek medical attention in time. When using mosquito repellent products, especially mosquito repellents and ointments that come into direct contact with the skin, pay attention to whether there are allergic reactions. Babies with a history of allergies should be more careful.

4. Chinese herbal medicine for mosquito bites

Seven-leafed Polygonum multiflorum is also known as Wheel-leafed King of the Sun and Northern Polygonum multiflorum (available at Chinese medicine stores). When the itching, pain and swelling caused by mosquito bites are unbearable, you can wash 30 grams of seven-leaf aconite and soak it in 250 grams of white wine. When the wine turns yellow, apply it to the bitten area. It can relieve itching and reduce swelling, which is very effective.

5. Benadryl injection for treating mosquito bites

In autumn, poisonous mosquitoes bite people very badly. After being bitten, apply diphenhydramine injection two or three times. After 24 hours, the local redness, swelling, heat and itching will subside.

6. Aspirin relieves itching

After being bitten by a mosquito, you can crush 1 to 2 aspirin tablets, dissolve them in a little cold boiled water, stir them into a paste, and apply it to the mosquito bite. It will immediately relieve the itching.
