Tests for early diagnosis of kidney cancer

The harmfulness of kidney cancer cannot be ignored. Although there are many symptoms of the disease, it is not easy to diagnose. To diagnose the disease, patients should go to a regular hospital. (1) Urinalysis: Intermittent painless hematuria is the most common symptom of renal cancer and is also the first symptom of some renal cancer patients. According to statistics, hematuria in renal cancer patients is often caused by cancer invading the renal pelvis and calyx. Therefore, hematuria is a late-stage symptom.

(2) Urine cytology: If tumor cells can be detected in the urine, the diagnosis can be confirmed, but the positive rate is extremely low and generally has little significance for the diagnosis of renal cancer. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, serum alkaline phosphatase, and liver and kidney function tests are of certain significance in estimating the prognosis of renal cancer.

(3) Ultrasound examination: B-mode ultrasound imaging is one of the important methods for diagnosing kidney tumors in recent years. Because the kidney is a large solid organ with a clear boundary with the surrounding tissues, ultrasound has a good echo reflection interface for fluid, renal parenchyma, and perirenal fat. At the same time, ultrasound examination is simple, non-invasive, and inexpensive, and can be used in normal physical health screening. Therefore, it is widely used in the diagnosis of kidney tumors.
