2 to 3 days after surgery, drainage is changed to drainage bag drainage according to the drainage situation. When there is no fluid accumulation under the flap and the wound surface is in close contact with the skin, drainage can be stopped as instructed by the doctor.
Avoid measuring blood pressure, drawing blood, or performing intravenous or subcutaneous injections on the affected upper limb to prevent swelling of the affected upper limb.
Functional exercise: limit the movement of the affected upper limb within 3 days after surgery, avoid abduction of the upper arm, start active and passive movement of the fingers 2 to 3 days after surgery, start elbow movement 3 to 5 days after surgery, and move the shoulder and fingers to do wall climbing exercises 1 week after surgery until the affected hand can be raised above the head and comb the hair by oneself.
Provide psychological support to patients and their families to increase their confidence in overcoming the disease. Avoid excessive exposure of the surgical site during nursing operations to protect patient privacy.
