What is the self-examination method for breast cancer

Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor among breast diseases. Most patients go to the doctor too late and miss the best treatment time. They can only have the whole breast or part of the breast removed surgically. Why is this so? The reason is that many women do not know how to check for breast cancer themselves. Experts suggest that it is best to check for breast cancer yourself once a month and go to the hospital for a checkup every six months. So how do you check for breast cancer yourself?

1. Regularly perform breast self-examination to detect diseases early and treat them early. Women over 35 years old, especially those with high-risk factors, should do self-examination every month. Women who have menstruation should do self-examination 2 to 3 days after each menstruation. The self-examination method is: lying on the bed with your back and shoulders raised so that the breasts are flat on the chest wall. When checking the right breast, place your right hand flat, put your left fingers together (or use your palm) and pat the right breast to check for lumps and tenderness. If you find any abnormalities, go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.

2. If you suffer from breast diseases such as breast hyperplasia, mastitis, etc., you should actively seek treatment to prevent malignant transformation.

3. Promote natural childbirth, breastfeeding and family planning, and avoid excessive and frequent artificial abortions or childbirths.

Fourth, advocate a reasonable diet structure. Adolescent women should moderate their intake of fat and animal protein and increase physical activities. Menopausal women should properly control their weight and fat intake. Eat more vegetables and fruits (to increase vitamin A, C and fiber).

5. Have an optimistic and open-minded outlook on life, and treat setbacks with a positive attitude.
