How to keep mushrooms fresh

Mushrooms are a type of food that belongs to the fungus family. After picking, wash the mushrooms and remove impurities from the roots. They can be used to make soup, stir-fry or stew meat, etc. There are many ways to eat mushrooms. Mushrooms are very delicious, but you must be sure to eat them as soon as possible, otherwise they will dry out over time, and there may even be some problems. So it is necessary for everyone to understand how to keep mushrooms fresh?

Salt water soak

Remove debris from the roots of fresh mushrooms, soak them in 1% salt water for 10-15 minutes, remove them, drain the water, and put them in a plastic bag. They can be kept fresh for 3-5 days. Soak in clean water: Wash the fresh mushrooms, put them in a container, and pour in clean water to cover the mushrooms. If the mushrooms float, place a heavy object on top. This method is suitable for short-term storage. Be careful not to use iron containers to prevent the fresh mushrooms from turning black.

Fresh mushrooms drying

If the quantity is large, you can dry the fresh mushrooms, then put them into a non-iron container and sprinkle a layer of salt on each layer of fresh mushrooms. This method can store them for more than a year. Soaking in clean water can isolate the air, slow down the color change of the mushrooms and make them fuller. However, the water must have a low iron content, and iron utensils and water with high iron content must not be used for soaking.

First rinse the mushrooms with 0.01% sodium metabisulfite aqueous solution for 3-5 minutes, then soak them in 0.1% sodium metabisulfite aqueous solution for half an hour, drain them and store them in plastic bags. The preservation effect is good at room temperature 10℃-15℃. Mushrooms can remain white for a long time. However, when the storage temperature exceeds 30℃, it can only stay fresh for 1 day, and then it will gradually change color.

Freshness

Soak fresh mushrooms in 0.01% 6-aminopurine solution for 10-45 minutes, take them out, drain and store them, which can delay aging and keep them fresh.

Long-lasting freshness

The plant growth retardant Bijiu, its chemical name is succinic acid-2,2-2-methylhydrazide. Soak the mushrooms in a 0.001%-0.1% Bijiu aqueous solution for 10 minutes, drain, and store in a plastic bag. It can be stored for 8 days at room temperature 5℃-22℃. It can effectively prevent browning, delay aging, and maintain freshness.
