Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common malignant tumor of the male reproductive system. Its incidence increases with age. Its incidence has obvious regional differences, and is higher in Europe and the United States. It is reported to be the second leading cause of cancer death in men, second only to lung cancer. There are many types of cells in prostate cancer pathology, among which prostate adenocarcinoma accounts for the vast majority. Glandular cells can promote the production of semen in prostate fluid. The medical term for cancer of glandular cells is called adenocarcinoma. Other types of prostate cancer include sarcoma, small cell carcinoma, and transitional cell carcinoma. However, these types of prostate cancer are rare, and the prostate cancer we usually refer to is prostate adenocarcinoma. A few prostate cancers grow and spread quickly, but most grow slowly. Autopsy studies have shown that most elderly men (and even younger men) die from a variety of diseases, including prostate cancer. But before that, there may be signs of prostate cancer that don't affect their normal lives. This is a fact that patients and doctors have come to accept. |
