Will I die if brain cancer recurs?

Brain cancer is a malignant tumor. The survival of the patient depends on the patient's condition and the absorption of drugs. The guidance and suggestions are as follows: Proper treatment can cure the pain caused by the disease. If you have brain cancer, you need to take timely treatment at the first time to gain a greater chance of cure. Will brain cancer relapse lead to death? Brain cancer recurrence means that the cancer cells spread and metastasize, which is life-threatening.

1. Tumor bleeding: Patients with small amounts of bleeding may have no symptoms or very mild symptoms. Patients with large amounts of bleeding may present with symptoms of high intracranial pressure, hemiplegia, aphasia, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness, brain herniation, or even sudden death.
2. Sudden death: The cause is usually due to increased intracranial pressure caused by the tumor, brain herniation, compression of the respiratory and circulatory centers, and respiratory and cardiac arrest. This is more likely to happen when the tumor has grown to a large size and is close to the late stage and has not received timely and effective treatment. However, some tumors are not large, but are located in the midline and affect the cerebrospinal fluid circulation in the early stage. If the cause is not eliminated, it will also cause brain herniation and sudden death. It is more common in gliomas and brain metastases.
3. The incidence of epilepsy accounts for about 30% of brain tumors. It is mostly caused by direct stimulation or compression of the tumor. The type of seizure is often localized, but it can also be a major seizure. The seizure is related to the location and nature of the tumor. For example, tumors in the motor area and its vicinity have a higher incidence of epilepsy. The incidence rates are higher in meningiomas, astrocytomas, and oligodendrogliomas. Localized epileptic seizures are less dangerous, while major seizures are more dangerous. Most patients have no warning signs or mental preparation before the attack. During the attack, they lose consciousness, convulse their limbs, foam at the mouth, dilate their pupils, and apnea. If the patient is working at height, swimming in the water, driving, etc., the consequences can be imagined. Some patients have continuous epileptic seizures that cannot be controlled in a timely and effective manner, which may also lead to death.
