How to clean a new teapot?

Drinking tea has been passed down from ancient times to the present, and it is a very traditional habit of ours. Drinking tea has been a concern for everyone until today. Tea sets are generally used for drinking tea, and different teas require different tea sets. Ceramic tea sets are the most popular among many tea sets. Ceramic tea sets are not only of various types, but also affordable. So how to clean a new teapot?

Celadon. Celadon tea sets are porcelain with green high-temperature glaze. It has a delicate texture and a dignified shape. Because of its green color, it is used to brew green tea, which helps to show the beauty of the soup color. But it is not suitable for brewing black tea, green tea, or dark tea.

White porcelain. The body and glaze of white porcelain tea sets are both white. It was produced nearly 2,000 years later than celadon. The white porcelain tea set is exquisitely shaped and suitable for brewing all kinds of tea, and has a certain ornamental value.

Black porcelain. Black porcelain tea set is porcelain with black high-temperature glaze. The firing of black porcelain began in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, was popular in the Song Dynasty, and gradually declined after the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.

Colored porcelain. There are many varieties of colored porcelain tea sets, including blue and white porcelain, enamel, multicolored and pastel, among which blue and white porcelain is the most popular. The blue and white porcelain produced in Jingdezhen is the most outstanding in my country.

When purchasing ceramic tea sets, you must choose a regular market and never be tempted to buy low-quality products from unofficial manufacturers. The state stipulates that when ceramic tea sets are soaked in 4% acetic acid, the amount of lead dissolved shall not exceed 7 mg/L, and the amount of cadmium dissolved shall not exceed 0.5 mg/L. Products from regular manufacturers can basically meet this requirement.

When purchasing, pay attention to the quality of the tea set. Touch the surface of the tea set with your hand to see if the inner wall is smooth.

Sniff to see if there is any unusual smell.

Before using, boil the tea set in water for 5 minutes, or soak it in vinegar for 2-3 minutes to dissolve the toxic substances in the tea set.

Generally, purchased ceramic tea sets need to be cleaned and disinfected to remove the earthy smell of the new pot. Some people use the boiling method to disinfect, that is, use a clean, odor-free pot to hold water, put the pot into the water, boil it on low heat, put some tea leaves in it, and take out the ceramic tea set after boiling for a while, put it in an odor-free place to dry, and boil the pot with not too strong a fire. The time is about half an hour. After boiling the ceramic tea set, take it out and let it dry in the shade, then wash it with clean water. Do not leave the boiled tea residue in the ceramic tea set, and then let the ceramic tea set dry in the shade.

It is recommended that newly purchased ceramic tea sets be soaked in vinegar before use to dissolve most of the lead; when washing, add detergent to warm water, wipe with a sponge or soft cloth, rinse with clean water, and then wipe clean with a soft towel. Do not scrub with a rough brush or cleaning cloth to avoid damaging the glaze of the ceramic tea sets and causing scratches. If you encounter tea stains, you can soak them in vinegar or citric acid and then clean them.
