Early symptoms of gallbladder cancer in the elderly

Early symptoms of gallbladder cancer in the elderly

Many patients do not think that they have gallbladder cancer in the early stages, and because gallbladder cancer is not as common as other cancers, few people have a certain understanding of this disease, which results in either no disease or a serious condition. So today, I will talk to you about the clinical manifestations of early gallbladder cancer.

One of the most common early symptoms of gallbladder cancer, often appears in the late stage of the disease, accompanied by weight loss, fatigue, and even cachexia, yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes, and difficult-to-treat skin itching.

Patients with gallbladder cancer often have a history of chronic cholecystitis and gallstones, so there are no special symptoms in the early stages. When the cancer develops to a certain extent, the symptoms gradually appear and worsen, mainly manifested as jaundice, abdominal pain, weight loss, fever and gastrointestinal symptoms.

Although early-stage gallbladder cancer lacks clinical symptoms, most patients only pay attention to it when they discover "raised lesions" in their gallbladder during physical examinations or B-ultrasounds. However, clinically, it has also been found that patients with early-stage gallbladder cancer will experience some gastrointestinal symptoms, such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and discomfort in the right upper abdomen.

If the patient has persistent right upper abdominal pain for many years, especially if the drug treatment has become less effective recently, then you should pay attention, as this may indicate gallbladder cancer. When jaundice, ascites and masses occur, it means that the gallbladder cancer is already in the middle and late stages. Data show that among gallbladder cancer patients, 70% to 85% are over 50 years old.

The above introduction to the early symptoms of gallbladder cancer is hoped to help those in need, so that you can detect your condition in time and receive early treatment, so as to achieve the goal of early recovery. If you are a gallbladder cancer patient, you must first maintain a good attitude to face difficulties.
