Pre-cancer prevention methods for gallbladder

Pre-cancer prevention methods for gallbladder

As a common disease, gallstones are often ignored by people. Little do people know that gallstones may cause gallbladder cancer if not treated in time. Gallbladder cancer has no obvious symptoms in the early stage, and many patients easily mistake the symptoms of gallbladder cancer for the effects of gallstones, thus delaying treatment.

So, how to prevent and detect gallbladder cancer early?

Experts generally believe that atypical hyperplasia is an important precancerous lesion. Among the specimens removed for gallstones or other gallbladder diseases, 83% have epithelial hyperplasia, 13.5% are atypical hyperplasia, and 3.5% have carcinoma in situ. Therefore, the following five types of gallstone patients should be considered as high-risk groups for gallbladder cancer: ① Middle-aged and elderly female gallstone patients; ② Patients with a long course of disease and a history of gallstones for more than 5 years; ③ Gallstone patients whose B-ultrasound indicates localized thickening of the gallbladder wall; ④ Gallstones with a diameter greater than 1 cm and incarcerated stones; ⑤ Gallstone patients whose upper abdominal gallbladder pain has recently turned into persistent pain and who have lost weight significantly.

Gallbladder cancer is mainly prevented

If gallstones are combined with repeated attacks of cholecystitis, the gallbladder is atrophied or the gallbladder wall is significantly thickened and has developed into a porcelain gallbladder, or the patient has undergone cholecystostomy in the past; if the asymptomatic gallstones are 3 cm in diameter and the patient is over 50 years old, especially women, preventive cholecystectomy should be considered to prevent accidents.

How to prevent it

First of all, we should pay attention to food hygiene. We should be moderate in our diet, not eat too much, and avoid partiality and overeating. We should mainly eat low-fat and low-cholesterol foods. We should eat more light and easily digestible foods with high carbohydrates and high fiber. We should avoid raw, cold, hard and difficult to digest foods. We should strictly control the consumption of fatty meat, spicy foods, fried foods, and oily dried fruits, seeds (walnuts, peanuts, cashews, etc.), egg yolks, animal offal, fish roe, etc. We should eat more radishes, green vegetables, beans, etc., and eat more fresh fruits. In addition, we should not drink or drink less alcohol.

Secondly, eating regularly is the best way to prevent stones. Eat regularly and in fixed amounts. Pay attention to breakfast, because when you are fasting, bile secretion decreases, while the cholesterol content remains unchanged, forming high cholesterol bile, which is prone to forming stones over time. In addition, you should eat more bile-promoting foods. Researchers have found that spinach, onions, tomatoes, green beans, corn, green peppers, pumpkins, red radishes, lotus roots, etc. have different degrees of litholytic effects.

Obesity and rapid weight loss are risk factors for gallstones. People who are not fond of exercise, have a sedentary habit, have loose abdominal walls, lack fat in their diet for a long time, and have reduced gallbladder muscle tension can all cause chronic bile accumulation and gallstone formation. Therefore, for people who sit for a long time, outdoor activities should be emphasized, such as gymnastics, running, walking, Tai Chi, Qigong, etc. Abdominal breathing is advocated, which can play a rhythmic "massage" role on the gallbladder, pancreas, and stomach, making bile secretion and excretion smooth and reducing the formation of gallstones.
