Symptoms: 1. Reflex pain of the lesion. About half of the patients experience mild pain or discomfort behind the sternum when swallowing food. The pain is more obvious when swallowing rough, hard food, hot food or irritating food. The pain is less severe when swallowing liquid or warm food. The pain is relieved or disappears after eating. Some individuals experience severe and persistent pain, and they spit out food immediately after swallowing.

Symptom 2: There is always a feeling of something in the esophagus. The patient feels that there are rice grains or vegetable pieces in the esophagus attached to the food wall, which cannot be swallowed or spit out. Even if there is no swallowing action, it feels like there is something inside. The location of the thing is consistent with the location of the esophageal lesion.

Symptom 3: The patient always feels that he cannot swallow food. He often has increased saliva and swallowing discomfort. He can usually eat normal food, but sometimes feels stagnant when swallowing food. The occurrence of symptoms is often related to the patient's mood swings.

Symptom 4: Dry throat. One-third of patients feel dryness and tightness in the throat, difficulty swallowing food or slight pain, which is more obvious when swallowing dry or rough food.
