What is the current status of colorectal cancer treatment

Current status of colorectal cancer treatment: Colorectal cancer refers to malignant tumors that occur in the colon, rectum, and cecum. Traditional Chinese medicine classifies this disease as intestinal cysts, accumulations, visceral toxins, and anal hemorrhoids, and has long recognized it, calling it an incurable disease. Due to the serious damage to the human body caused by surgery, as well as the damage to the human body caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy drugs, it has become a serious problem.

The exact cause of colorectal cancer is still unclear, but its occurrence may be related to chronic inflammatory stimulation, malignant transformation of benign tumors, improper diet, ingestion of carcinogens, genetic immune dysfunction, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the disease is mostly caused by improper diet, internal dampness and heat, or due to depression, emotional injury, gastrointestinal disharmony, poor qi movement, qi stagnation and blood stasis; or due to long-term diarrhea and dysentery, spleen deficiency and dysfunction, internal dampness and toxins, and turbid qi descending from the internal organs; or due to the accumulation of evil toxins such as cold and heat, phlegm and dampness, qi stagnation, and blood stasis, which accumulate in the anus and intestines and cause this disease.
Just as it said in Lingshu Jiuzhen Lun: "The guests of the four seasons and eight winds in the meridians cause tumor diseases." It is also said in Cijie Zhenxie Pian: "The virtual evil enters the body deeply, and the cold and heat fight each other, staying for a long time and sticking inside. The evil qi stays in between and does not return, and it manifests in the tendons...intestines." However, surgery is only a local treatment. The invasion of toxic evil elsewhere and the accumulation of pathological products, as well as the harm of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, may lead to a variety of complications. Therefore, there are differences in the symptoms and the root cause, the urgency, the righteousness and the virtuality.
