What are the early signs of lung cancer

Lung cancer is a cancer with a high incidence in my country. It ranks first among malignant tumors in large and medium-sized cities. However, by the time of diagnosis, 3/4 of patients have already missed the best treatment opportunity. Since lung cancer has mild symptoms in the early stages and is often ignored, it is very important to pay attention to the early signs of lung cancer. The main early signs of lung cancer are as follows.

(1) Sudden cough: If you have never had a cough before but suddenly develop a cough, and if there is no cure after 2 weeks of treatment or the cough even gets worse, you should consider that it may be a precursor to lung cancer.

(2) Changes in cough: If you have had chronic bronchitis and cough frequently, but your cough has become more severe recently and the sound or nature of your cough has changed, you should also be alert to the possibility of lung cancer.

(3) Blood in sputum: Continuous blood in sputum with no other explanation.

(4) Segmental pneumonia : repeated occurrence of pneumonia in the same part of the body, especially segmental pneumonia.

(5) Lung abscess: Lung abscess of unknown cause, without toxic symptoms and large amounts of purulent sputum, without history of foreign body aspiration, and poor response to anti-inflammatory treatment.

(6) Chronic joint pain: Unexplained pain in the limbs and clubbing of the fingers (toes). It also manifests as myasthenia gravis, bone and joint swelling (most common in the large joints of the limbs), etc. All joint disease tests are negative, and anti-rheumatic or anti-rheumatoid arthritis treatment is ineffective. If localized joint pain occurs and analgesics are ineffective, the possibility of lung cancer should be considered.
