Bladder cancer is the most common tumor in the urinary system. In my country, the incidence of bladder cancer ranks first among male urogenital tumors. The main clinical symptoms of bladder cancer are:

1. Hematuria

Most bladder tumors present with painless macroscopic hematuria or microscopic hematuria as the first symptom. Patients present with intermittent or continuous hematuria, sometimes accompanied by blood clots. The amount of bleeding and duration of hematuria are related to the malignancy, size, range and number of the tumor, but they are not necessarily proportional.

2. Difficulty urinating

In a small number of patients, due to large tumors, or tumors occurring in the bladder neck, or blood clot formation, urine flow obstruction, difficulty urinating or even urine retention may occur.

3. Bladder irritation symptoms

Early bladder tumors rarely cause urinary tract irritation symptoms. If the bladder tumor is accompanied by infection or the tumor occurs in the bladder trigone, urinary tract irritation symptoms may appear earlier. In addition, you should also be alert to bladder irritation symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.

4. Symptoms of upper urinary tract obstruction

When the tumor infiltrates the ureteral orifice, it causes the renal pelvis and ureter to dilate and accumulate water, or even become infected, leading to symptoms such as backache, back pain, and fever. If both ureteral orifices are invaded, symptoms of acute renal failure may occur.

5. Systemic symptoms

Including nausea, loss of appetite, fever, weight loss, anemia, cachexia, leukemoid reaction, etc.
