Acupuncture point injection therapy for paraplegics with bone cancer

If a bone tumor occurs in the thoracic spine and other parts of the body, as the tumor develops, the patient is likely to become paralyzed due to limited movement. However, the tumor may not develop as fast as imagined. The threat of the tumor to the body is far less than the inconvenience caused by paraplegia to the patient. If the patient's bone cancer can be cured, the patient's paraplegia can be treated through acupuncture injection after recovery.

Acupuncture points

Main acupoints: divided into 2 groups. 1. Nine needle points on the cross section, Futu, Zusanli, Yanglingquan, Juegu, Jiexi; 2. Shenshu, Ciliao, Xuehai, Sanyinjiao, Biguan.

Acupoints used for regulating bowel movements: For regulating defecation and urination, add Qihai, Zhongji, Zhibian, Tianshu, Shang, Zhong and Xia.

The positions of the nine needle points on the cross section are as follows: the upper point is a spinous process on the injury plane, the lower point is the spinous process of lumbar vertebra 5 (L5), the middle point is the midpoint of the line connecting the upper and lower points, plus the spinal points on both sides of the third, middle and lower points, for a total of nine points.

Governing Law

Medicinal solution: Safflower injection, Salvia miltiorrhiza injection, mixed injection (vitamin B1 100 mg/2 ml plus vitamin B12 100 micrograms/ml).

Each time, 2 to 5 points are selected in each of the two groups of main points. 2 to 3 points are selected as auxiliary points according to the symptoms. The first group of main points is acupuncture, and the second group is acupoint injection. For blood points, acupuncture and acupoint injection can be alternated. Acupuncture method: deep puncture is required, with a needle depth of 1 to 3 inches, and a large amplitude of lifting, inserting, twisting, and medium-strong stimulation intensity, so that the needle sensation of the back points is transmitted to below the paralysis plane, and the leg points are stimulated as much as possible. The blood points can be stimulated with medium-weak stimulation, but the needle sensation of the Ren meridian points is required to be transmitted to the genitals, and the side of the ridge is punctured obliquely inward so that the needle sensation is transmitted to the lower abdomen, and the Tianshu point is transmitted to the groin. Acupuncture is performed once a day, and the needle is retained for 1 hour each time.

Acupoint injection method: You can choose any one of the above-mentioned medicines or use them alternately. Take 1~2 acupoints on each side, use a No. 5 dental needle, pierce deeply and repeatedly lift and insert, then push the medicine into each acupoint at a relatively fast speed, 1~2 ml. Do it once every other day, and use the acupoints alternately.

One course of treatment consists of 10 sessions of body acupuncture and 5 sessions of acupoint injection. The next course of treatment will be continued after 3 to 5 days.
