Beware of bladder cancer if you have blood in your urine

Sister Wang is 36 years old and works in a chemical factory. Due to the heavy household chores and work pressure, Sister Wang rarely pays attention to her health. Three months ago, Sister Wang found that her urine contained blood. At first, it was not serious, and Sister Wang did not pay much attention to it. She thought it was a urinary tract infection, and she bought some lotion at the pharmacy to relieve it slightly. However, in the past month, Sister Wang found that her urine blood has worsened, accompanied by symptoms of frequent urination and urgency, which seriously affected her normal life and work. Therefore, Sister Wang took time to go to the hospital for a check-up and learned that she had bladder cancer.

Bladder cancer is the most common tumor in the urinary system, with a male-female ratio of 4:1. The cause of the disease is not yet fully understood, but the factors associated with it include chemical carcinogens such as acetylamine, benzidine and fuchsin. Ms. Wang's bladder cancer is related to her occupation to some extent. In addition, people who have been engaged in dye, rubber, gas, cable, plastic and leather-making occupations for a long time are also prone to bladder cancer.

There are many people like Sister Wang who ignore bladder cancer or mistake it for other minor illnesses. This is mainly because bladder cancer has no obvious or typical symptoms in the early stages. It often presents painless macroscopic hematuria as the first symptom, which can easily be mistaken for a common urinary tract infection.

Bladder cancer patients have hematuria that can be divided into macroscopic and microscopic hematuria. The former can be seen with the naked eye as bright red, brown or meat-washing water in the urine; the latter cannot be seen with the naked eye and red blood cells can only be found in the urine under a microscope. With the gradual development of the tumor, macroscopic hematuria may appear, often manifested as intermittent or full-time hematuria, and may be accompanied by blood clots. It should be noted that when macroscopic hematuria occurs, the tumor is already very large or in the late stage. If the patient still does not seize the treatment, the best effect may not be achieved. If bladder cancer is accompanied by inflammation, urinary tract irritation symptoms may appear earlier, such as frequent urination and urgency.
