Examination items for simple lymphangioma

Xiaolin, 23, has been feeling depressed recently. Three months ago, she found two mung bean-sized blisters under her right armpit. She thought it was just a simple allergy and didn't pay much attention to it. Once she accidentally scratched it, a colorless transparent liquid flowed out. Later, the blisters gradually increased. She applied Piyanping ointment several times, but the blisters still increased. Xiaolin rushed to the hospital. After admission, various tests pointed to simple lymphangioma.

Physical examination: No abnormalities were found in the systemic examination.

Dermatological examination: Several scattered light brown blisters the size of green beans were seen under the lateral armpit. The blister walls were relatively thick.

Laboratory examination: Blood, urine, liver and kidney function tests were normal.

Skin lesion tissue pathology: hyperkeratosis, mild epidermal hyperplasia, several cavities can be seen in the superficial dermis, the inner wall of the cavity is composed of a single layer of endothelial cells, and lightly stained lymph fluid can be seen in the cavity.

After diagnosis, Xiaolin was diagnosed with simple lymphangioma and is now undergoing liquid nitrogen cryotherapy.

Other symptoms of simple lymphangioma

Simple lymphangioma is mainly manifested by clustered, deep, tension blisters. In addition to the typical blisters, mild diffuse edema may occur in the subcutaneous tissue below the blisters, and occasionally swelling of the entire limb. If lymphangioma occurs in the tongue, glossitis may occur, which is particularly prone to complications of upper respiratory tract infections. If cellulitis occurs, the tumor may temporarily increase in size.
