Diet care for ovarian cancer patients after chemotherapy

The number of people who died from ovarian cancer accounts for 6% of the total number of cancer deaths, and it is the fifth largest killer of women. There are many treatments for ovarian cancer, including surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, etc. Chemotherapy plays an important role in the treatment of ovarian cancer. The effect of chemotherapy is closely related to post-chemotherapy care. The following three points should be noted in the dietary care after chemotherapy:

1. Arrange the time of three meals reasonably

Proper arrangement of three meals is as important as what you eat. For the relief of ovarian cancer after chemotherapy, the time interval between medication and meals should be extended as much as possible to reduce drug reactions. Therefore, breakfast should be arranged before 6 o'clock, and dinner should be arranged after 7 o'clock. The diet should pay attention to balanced nutrition and easy digestion and absorption, and avoid the use of irritating condiments such as pepper and mustard. In addition, the patient should maintain a happy mood, which is beneficial to the digestion and absorption function of the gastrointestinal tract.

2. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables

Ovarian cancer patients after chemotherapy can eat more fruits and vegetables, such as rapeseed, spinach, Chinese cabbage, tomatoes, onions, asparagus, kelp, hawthorn, fresh dates, kiwis, etc. For patients with severe nausea, they can drink some vegetable juice or eat some refreshing cold dishes and fruits, but they must be careful to wash them thoroughly to avoid nutrient loss caused by diarrhea.

3. Eat more foods that enhance immunity

After chemotherapy for ovarian cancer, patients often have low immunity, so they should focus on improving immunity and eat more immunity-enhancing foods, such as shiitake mushrooms, white fungus, black fungus, mushrooms, etc. In addition, you can also eat more animal liver, cod liver oil, carrots, lettuce leaves and other foods rich in vitamin A and carotene. Of course, you can also enhance your resistance through appropriate activities.
