Xuanyang Decoction plus Jiyin Decoction for the treatment of bladder cancer

Bladder cancer belongs to the category of "urinary retention" in traditional Chinese medicine. Its causes can be summarized as "qi deficiency", "blood phlegm", "wind stasis" and "excessive heat". Its pathogenesis can be divided into deficiency and excess. For those with yang deficiency and weak qi that cannot be circulated, Xuanyang Decoction is the main treatment. For those with yin deficiency and blood deficiency that cannot moisten, Jiyin Decoction is the main treatment.

Xuanyang Decoction is composed of wild ginseng, clematis, inch ophiopogon, and kochia scoparia. Among them, wild ginseng is the main drug, supplemented by ophiopogon to relieve the heat of ginseng, clematis to relieve the stagnation of ginseng, and a small amount of kochia scoparia is added as a guide drug; Jiyin Decoction is composed of Huai Shudi, raw tortoise shell, raw peony root, and kochia scoparia. Among them, cooked rehmannia is the main drug, supplemented by tortoise shell to help cooked rehmannia moisten, peony root to relieve the stagnation of cooked rehmannia, and a small amount of kochia scoparia is also added as a guide drug. For those with both yin and yang deficiency, both prescriptions can be used together and taken in turn, to symbolize the mutual push of cold and heat of the sun and the moon, and the mutual influence of bending and stretching. First take three doses of Jiyin Decoction, and then take three doses of Xuanyang Decoction, and urination will be smooth.
