Beware of eight symptoms of lung cancer brain metastasis

Lung cancer is a disease with a high incidence rate now. Once discovered, it is usually in the middle or late stage. Brain metastasis of lung cancer is one of the important factors for the failure of lung cancer treatment. The eight symptoms of brain metastasis of lung cancer are as follows:

(1) Headache: Patients often experience severe pain, which often occurs in the early morning and sometimes wakes them up during sleep.

(2) Vomiting: Vomiting is caused by the increase in intracranial pressure, which stimulates the respiratory center in the medulla oblongata and appears in the form of a jet. It often occurs after a headache.

(3) Olfactory hallucinations: Tumors in the temporal lobe may cause olfactory hallucinations, where people smell odors that do not exist.

(4) Visual impairment: The cause of visual impairment is that the increased intracranial pressure makes the venous blood return of the eyeball difficult, causing congestion and edema, damaging the visual cells on the retina of the fundus, and leading to decreased vision.

(5) Mental abnormalities: Mental abnormalities such as excitement, agitation, depression, repression, forgetfulness and fabrication are often manifested, which are mostly caused by brain tumors in the frontal lobe of the brain that damage the frontal lobe.

(6) Unilateral limb abnormality or weakness: often causes a decrease or disappearance of pain, temperature, vibration, and body recognition sensations in one side of the limb.

(7) Hemiplegia or staggering gait: Patients often experience hemiplegia or a staggering drunken gait after a headache, vomiting, or visual impairment. This is caused by cerebellar lesions.

(8) Tinnitus and deafness: These symptoms are often experienced when making phone calls, where one ear can hear but the other cannot. This symptom is often a precursor to acoustic neuroma.
