Male breast cancer is more dangerous than female

Male breast development usually occurs during puberty and in patients with liver disease. It is usually bilateral disc-shaped, tender, and female-like in appearance. Once breast cancer is contracted, it usually manifests as a unilateral lump that is hard but painless.

Although women are more likely to develop breast cancer than men due to differences in physiological structure and hormone levels between men and women, it is more dangerous for men because they rarely pay attention to it.

Men's breasts do not have developed lobules and alveoli, and are much smaller than women's. The breast tissue is weaker. Once a breast tumor occurs, it can easily spread outward. It won't take too long for it to spread to the skin and muscle tissue around the breast, thereby endangering organs such as the heart and lungs.

Men's breasts are closer to the chest wall, so even if they only have a soybean-sized tumor, it may adhere to and infiltrate the surrounding skin, muscles, and chest wall in a short period of time, making it particularly prone to hematogenous metastasis and the metastasis and spread of cancer cells. The survival period is much lower than that of women.

Even so, there are still many male patients who, after discovering abnormalities in their breasts, are too shy to go to the hospital for treatment, so that by the end the disease has reached an advanced stage and the cancer cells have already metastasized, making treatment difficult. In fact, if discovered early, breast cancer will basically not be life-threatening after surgery. Male friends must think carefully about what is more serious.
