Treatment of mid-stage esophageal cancer

Treatment of mid-stage esophageal cancer

Patients with mid-stage esophageal cancer who are older can use a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Chinese medicine selectively kills cancer cells without damaging normal cells, and helps restore the body's immunity. It can fight cancer without toxic side effects, can quickly improve clinical symptoms, improve and protect the body's immune function, can overall inhibit and directly kill cancer cells, and significantly inhibit the metastasis and spread of cancer cells.

The main symptoms of mid-stage esophageal cancer are:

1. The most common symptom is swallowing obstruction, which can disappear or recur on its own and does not affect eating. It often occurs when the patient is emotionally unstable, so it is easily mistaken for a functional symptom.

2. Dryness and tightness in the throat are particularly obvious when swallowing dry and rough food. The occurrence of this symptom is often related to the patient's mood swings.

3. Food retention infection and foreign body sensation When swallowing food or drinking water, there is a feeling of food moving slowly and being retained, as well as a feeling of tightness behind the sternum or food sticking to the esophageal wall, which disappears after eating. The site of symptom occurrence is often consistent with the site of lesions in the esophagus.

4. Pain behind the sternum and under the xiphoid process is more common. Pain behind the sternum or under the xiphoid process occurs when swallowing food. The pain may be burning, pricking, or pulling, and is most common when swallowing rough, burning, or irritating food. Initially, it is intermittent. When the tumor invades nearby tissues or penetrates, there may be severe and continuous pain. The pain site is often not completely consistent with the lesion site in the esophagus. The pain can often be temporarily relieved by spasmolytics.

5. Other symptoms: A small number of esophageal cancer patients may experience symptoms such as discomfort behind the sternum, anterior pain, and belching.
