The examination of cervical cancer is mainly divided into three steps

Generally speaking, the incidence of cervical cancer is very high in our country, but many patients know nothing about the examination of cervical cancer. How many steps are needed to examine cervical cancer ? The following are the examination steps of cervical cancer introduced in detail by experts.

Cervical cancer screening is mainly divided into three steps

Step 1, which is the first stage of cervical cancer examination: TCT thin-layer liquid-based cytology test

This method requires the use of the most advanced thin-layer liquid-based cytology technology (TCT) to observe cervical cells under a microscope to see if there are any abnormalities in the cervical cells. This is because cervical cancer begins with the mutation of cervical cells. In addition, if economic conditions permit, HPV testing can also be performed, which will be more accurate.

Step 2, the second stage of the examination: electronic colposcopy examination of cervical cancer

At this stage, TCT thin-layer liquid-based cytology is used. If abnormal cervical cells are found after the examination, a colposcopy is required. Under the high magnification of 40 times by the electronic colposcope, the subtle changes in the surface of the cervical precancerous lesions are observed, which is of great value for the early detection and early diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.

Step 3, the third stage of cervical cancer examination: histopathological examination

If abnormalities are found during colposcopy, a biopsy should be taken under the guidance of special staining. Under the guidance of colposcopy, multiple biopsies of suspicious lesions and histopathological examinations can be performed to confirm cervical lesions.

The above describes the examination steps for cervical cancer. I believe you should have a better understanding through these three steps of cervical cancer examination mentioned above. In fact, understanding the examination steps for cervical cancer is to detect the existence of the disease as early as possible and treat it. Here I wish the patients a speedy recovery.
