Understand the nursing care of interventional treatment of liver tumors

Interventional treatment nursing for liver tumors can be divided into various stages of nursing, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative. The nursing content of each stage is different. It is necessary to recognize the key points of each nursing to help tumor patients recover as soon as possible. At the same time, tumor patients themselves and their families should closely cooperate with the work of doctors and nurses to strive for early recovery.

1. Preoperative care

(1) Introduce the purpose, methods and precautions to patients undergoing intervention for the first time to eliminate their doubts.

(2) Conduct antibiotic and iodine allergy tests.

(3) Prepare the skin of the groin and perineum.

(4) Do not eat or drink for 4 hours before surgery.

(5) Sedatives and analgesics should be administered 30 minutes before surgery.

(6) Advise the patient to keep warm and prevent upper respiratory tract infection.

2. Intraoperative care

(1) Adjust the room temperature to prevent the patient from being frightened during surgery.

(2) Assist the patient to lie supine on the catheter bed.

(3) Intravenous infusion.

(4) Closely observe changes in the patient's condition during surgery.

3. Postoperative care

(1) The patient lies in bed for 12 hours, with a sandbag placed on the puncture site and the limb on that side stretched out for 6 hours.

(2) Observe the puncture site for any bleeding or oozing, and observe the blood circulation in the distal limb.

(3) Intravenous infusion, encourage patients to drink more water to reduce the damage of chemotherapy drugs to the kidneys.

(4) Observe the urine volume and color. The daily urine volume should be above 2000 ml. If oliguria or hematuria occurs, report to the doctor immediately and receive treatment such as fluid replacement, diuresis and urine alkalinization.

(5) Provide high-protein, high-calorie semi-liquid food.

(6) Closely monitor vital signs, measure blood pressure every 2 hours, and observe the dorsalis pedis artery pulse.

Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has already understood the interventional treatment nursing of liver tumors. Do a good job of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care and do not let the symptoms continue to worsen.
