Symptoms of periodontitis

2. Periodontal suppuration

3. Loose teeth

Due to the destruction of periodontal tissue, especially when the absorption of alveolar bone is aggravated, the strength supporting the teeth is insufficient, resulting in loose teeth and displacement. At this time, patients often feel weak bite, dull pain, and worsening gum bleeding and bad breath.

When the body's resistance is reduced and the drainage of periodontal pocket exudate is poor, periodontal abscess may form. It is a common concomitant symptom of deep periodontal pockets when periodontitis develops to the late stage. At this time, the gums are oval, red, swollen, and shiny; the teeth become more loose and painful to percussion; and the patient has severe local throbbing pain.
