What is the disease of intrahepatic solid nodules

Intrahepatic solid nodules refer to the presence of cysts or hyperplasia in the liver. The general treatment method is to remove the nodules through surgery. If intrahepatic solid nodules are not treated in time, they may lead to serious diseases such as cirrhosis or chronic hepatitis. The presence of malignant cysts in intrahepatic solid nodules may lead to liver cancer. Therefore, the situation of intrahepatic solid nodules needs to be taken seriously.

1. Focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver can also cause nodules on the patient's liver. This is also a very rare disease. It was once called solitary hyperplastic nodule, focal nodular sclerosis, solitary nodular regenerative hyperplasia or focal sclerosis. It often occurs in women and can occur at any age, so it requires great attention.

2. Hepatic adenoma can cause nodules to appear on the patient's liver. Generally, hepatocellular adenoma is relatively rare and is a type of benign tumor. Studies have shown that the increased incidence of hepatic adenoma is related to the use of birth control pills.

3. Cirrhosis is a common chronic liver disease in life, which may be caused by one or more reasons. Patients with cirrhosis may also develop nodules on their livers, and the liver will present diffuse, progressive, fibrotic lesions that may manifest as diffuse degeneration and necrosis of hepatocytes, leading to proliferation of fibrous tissue and nodular regeneration of hepatocytes. These conditions occur repeatedly, causing changes in the liver lobule structure and blood circulation pathways, liver degeneration, and hardening, which eventually develops into cirrhosis. There are no obvious symptoms in the early stages, but in the later stages the patient may develop liver dysfunction and portal hypertension, and may even suffer from gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, and complications leading to death.

4. The appearance of nodules on the liver may be nodular regenerative hyperplasia of the liver, which is a rare disease. It was previously called nodular change of the liver, non-cirrhotic liver nodules, miliary hepatocellular carcinoma or non-cirrhotic portal hypertension. The diseased person has small hepatocyte nodules diffusely distributed in the liver, and the nodules are not surrounded by fibrous tissue and there is no fibrosis, which can be clearly distinguished from cirrhosis.

5. Partial nodular changes in the liver are also called nodular transformation. It is relatively rare in life. Nodules generally appear around the liver portal and can cause portal hypertension. In addition, the liver tissue will atrophy, but the liver function will be normal. The cause of this disease has not yet been identified.
