How long after a failed IVF can I try again

The IVF method of pregnancy mainly involves removing sperm from the male body and eggs from the female body, then combining them into a fertilized egg through medical means, and then implanting it into the female body to form an embryo. However, the failure rate of IVF still exists, so some people still fail during IVF. So if IVF fails, how long does it usually take before you can try IVF again?

How long does it take to try IVF again after IVF failure?

1. Those with frozen embryos: If a pregnancy is not successful after transplanting fresh embryos but there are frozen embryos stored, the earliest time to transplant frozen embryos is during the next menstrual cycle. Generally, go to the hospital for treatment on the tenth day of the menstrual cycle.

2. Those without frozen embryos: If you do not have frozen embryos and decide to try IVF again, you need to wait three months (preferably six months) before undergoing relevant treatment to allow the ovaries sufficient time to rest.

Because a considerable dose of hormonal drugs is used during superovulation, in order to allow the ovaries, uterus, and pituitary gland to recover, it is best to do it after 3 months.

The selection of the time for IVF re-transplantation mainly considers the following factors:

1. To restore women's ovarian and endometrial functions for a period of time to facilitate pregnancy again, which is also the main and most important consideration.

2. The failure of treatment is a huge blow to women and their husbands, not only physically, but more importantly mentally. After a period of rest, the body's overall functions can be restored, and tension, anxiety, and frustration can slowly subside, which is conducive to the stability of endocrine hormone levels and the normal functioning of the nervous system.

3. Rest after treatment failure can allow doctors and patients to calm down, reconsider the reasons for the failure, and possibly discover the real cause of infertility. Effective treatment measures can be taken in advance to correct it, which may increase the chances of success for the next treatment.

4. There are indeed some patients who have failed IVF treatment and "accidentally" became pregnant after a period of calm. This forces us to carefully consider whether the decision to choose IVF treatment was really appropriate.
