Treatment of hormone allergy

Treatment of hormone allergy

Although many drugs can achieve certain therapeutic effects on the human body, most of them contain certain hormones. The side effects of the drugs are precisely reflected in these hormones. Especially for patients with more serious conditions, they need to take large amounts of drugs with high hormone content. However, if these patients stop taking hormone drugs, they are likely to develop hormone allergy. What is the specific treatment for hormone allergy?

Hormone allergy

If you have used skin care products or cosmetics containing glucocorticoids, then after stopping such products or switching to natural and safe products, your face will gradually develop allergy-like symptoms, including redness, itching, stinging, acne, etc.

If you continue to use the previous hormone products, the symptoms will get better, or if you follow the allergy treatment, the symptoms will also get better, but after a while, the same symptoms will appear again. But many people still mistakenly think they are allergic, but they don’t know what the allergens are?

The skin is divided into the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and the epidermis is divided into five layers. The outermost layer is the stratum corneum, which is the skin's moisture-locking and protective layer. When hormones damage the stratum corneum, the skin loses its moisture-locking function, the face becomes dry, itchy, tight, and even peels, and the defense against external stimuli will be weakened and lost.

Therefore, patients with hormonal dermatitis always have symptoms such as redness, swelling, dryness, itching, stinging, rashes, peeling, and repeated allergies. These are actually caused by the damage to the stratum corneum and the loss of the skin's barrier protection, and are not true allergies.

Hormone withdrawal symptoms

Before the hormone face is repaired, the symptoms that appear are called hormone withdrawal allergy. Similar symptoms will appear after the hormone face is repaired, and this is called hormone withdrawal reaction. The severity of the withdrawal reaction is related to the following three reasons:

1. The length of time that hormones are discontinued: the longer hormones are discontinued, the milder the withdrawal symptoms will be.

2. Whether you have undergone repair before, if you have undergone symptomatic repair, the withdrawal symptoms will be mild.

3. It is related to the strength of the drug. If the drug is strong, the withdrawal symptoms will be more severe; if the drug is weak, the symptoms will be milder.
