Why do girls love to shake their legs

In our lives, we can find many people who like to shake their legs. When leg shaking becomes a habitual and uncontrollable phenomenon, it is usually called shaking legs syndrome in medicine. Many people rely on leg shaking to relieve their inner anxiety and tension, but some people think that leg shaking in public is a very uncivilized phenomenon. So what is the reason why women love to shake their legs?

The surprising secret of women's love of leg shaking is this

Shake your own legs and make others stand there stupidly. Legend has it that every person who loves to shake his legs has a sewing machine in his heart. I feel uncomfortable if I don't shake for a day!

Leg shaking is a harmless thing, but it is always innocently blocked by various forces.

But from now on, we can finally shake our legs with confidence, because - shaking our legs can reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases!

Recently, the professor led a group of people to conduct a "great" experiment, the content of the experiment was: shaking legs. They found 11 volunteers of similar age who had no cardiovascular disease, no bad eating habits, and were of similar age at the university.

The experiment requires volunteers to lie flat first, then fix one leg, and then let the other leg shake continuously. After shaking for one minute, rest for four minutes, maintain a shaking frequency of 250 times/minute, and raise it about 3 cm each time.

The subjects had their popliteal artery blood flow and shear force (Note: the friction between blood flow and arterial wall is of great significance to vascular health) tested in the first, second and third hours of lying down and shaking their legs.

At the same time, the dilation of the popliteal artery was tested when lying flat before and after shaking the legs. Before the experiment began, the researchers had a rosy outlook on the results: the shear force stimulation of the popliteal artery of the shaking leg would fluctuate regularly, while that of the controlled leg would remain relatively stable.

Moreover, the vasodilation function of the shaking leg is obviously better than that of the motionless leg. After 3 hours, the blood vessels in the shaking leg were in much better condition than those in the controlled leg.

Whether comparing popliteal artery shear force or vasodilation function, the data results of the shaking leg were significantly better than those of the controlled leg. Simple leg shaking exercises can successfully relieve endothelial dysfunction in the popliteal artery and slow down the process of endothelial function degradation. Continuously and intermittently applying shear force to the blood vessel wall can also exercise vascular function.

"We originally wanted to explore whether light leg shaking could increase blood flow to the lower limbs, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it can also effectively prevent vascular functional decline," the researchers said excitedly.

However, although the results showed that leg shaking can indeed increase blood flow and its corresponding shear force, the mechanism of the protective effect brought by shaking has not been fully revealed.

And in the experiment, only one leg is required to shake. In fact, if you like, you can shake both legs at the same time, the effect will be better~

However, the researchers later said that leg shaking cannot replace walking or running, and other exercises are more beneficial to blood vessels throughout the body.

"Stand up and walk around if you're sitting for long periods of time," the professor said. "But if you can't walk, shaking your legs is not a good option. After all, moving is better than not moving."

In fact, there are not so many things that you have to do, isn't it because you are lazy? But do you know? Every person who loves to shake his legs not only has a sewing machine in his heart, but you are also a generator!

In fact, shaking your legs rhythmically will suppress the urge to walk around (the instinct to get out of an uncomfortable sitting position), allowing you to focus more on the task at hand. Then, when it is easier for you to concentrate, your work efficiency will naturally improve.
