Introduction to the interventional drug pirarubicin for liver cancer? Pay attention to these points

There are many ways to treat liver cancer. Interventional therapy is a widely used surgical treatment, but its treatment duration is not fixed and depends on the patient's condition. Pirarubicin has achieved good results in efficacy, tolerability and toxic side effects in the treatment of liver cancer in young patients. Its effect on liver cancer is more obvious than other drugs.

Chemotherapy drugs based mainly on pirarubicin for the treatment of liver cancer have high anti-tumor activity and mild toxic and side effects, mainly bone marrow suppression, while the incidence of cardio-liver-kidney toxicity and hair loss reactions is low. Therefore, pirarubicin is a highly effective, broad-spectrum, and safe anti-tumor drug.

Pirarubicin is suitable for the treatment of breast cancer, and also has a certain effect on malignant tumors such as head and neck cancer, bladder cancer, ureter cancer, renal pelvis cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, etc. This drug can directly embed between double strands of DNA, inhibit DNA polymerase, prevent nucleic acid synthesis, and prevent cells from dividing in the G2 phase, thereby leading to tumor cell death.

The drug is rapidly distributed after intravenous administration. In animal experiments, the concentrations in the spleen, lungs, and kidneys are higher, and the heart is lower. The three phases of half-life are 0.89min, 0.46h, and 14.2h, respectively. It is mainly metabolized in the liver and excreted from the feces through bile. 20% is excreted from the bile duct 48 hours after administration, and 9% is excreted from the kidneys.

When used in combination with live vaccines, namely rotavirus vaccines, live vaccines may lead to serious or even fatal infections in patients with chemotherapy-induced immunosuppression. Therefore, live vaccines are prohibited during chemotherapy.
