Is it a good sign that lung cancer has advanced stages and that it doesn’t cough or wheeze?

Is it a good sign if lung cancer has no cough or wheezing in the late stage?

1. Not coughing or wheezing in the late stage of lung cancer is not necessarily a good sign and requires active treatment.

2. Lung cancer is a common primary lung malignancy that originates from the bronchial mucosa or glands. It usually occurs between the ages of 55 and 65. It may be caused by smoking and air pollution. Genetic factors are not excluded. Lung cancer can be divided into early, middle and late stages. Because of lung malignancies, most lung cancer patients will cough and wheeze. If patients with advanced lung cancer do not cough and wheeze, it may be a manifestation of worsening of the disease, because when the tumor gradually grows, it may completely block the airway. When there is no airflow through the airway, there will be no cough and wheeze. Therefore, it is not a good thing for patients with advanced lung cancer not to cough and wheeze, and further examination is also needed in time.

3. Because lung cancer is a malignant tumor with a high risk of death, active treatment is also required when diagnosed with lung cancer. If the patient has entered the late stage of lung cancer, timely treatment with extended resection, local resection, and direct chest surgery is required. Chemotherapy is also required after surgery. Drugs such as vinorelbine tartrate injection, irinotecan hydrochloride injection, etc. can be used under the guidance of a doctor.
