What does primary liver cancer mean

In modern society, more and more people are suffering from liver cancer. Primary liver cancer is a common cancer in our lives. The incidence rate is high in middle-aged people. This disease causes great harm to the human body. Since such diseases are often discovered in the late stage, the mortality rate is also relatively high. It is called the "king of cancer". Let's take a look at what primary liver cancer is.

The symptoms of primary liver cancer are mainly: liver pain, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, abdominal distension, fatigue, weight loss, cancer fever, malnutrition and cachexia, etc. These are the main symptoms of primary liver cancer.

1. Pain in the liver area: It is the most common symptom of patients with liver disease. Pain in the liver area is mostly persistent dull pain, distending pain or stabbing pain, which is more obvious at night or after fatigue. Pain in the liver area is caused by the rapid growth of the tumor, which increases the tension of the liver capsule, or the rupture of the cancer nodules under the capsule, or the rupture and bleeding of the liver cancer nodules. The location of pain in the liver area is closely related to the location of the lesion. If the lesion is located in the right lobe of the liver, it may manifest as pain in the right hypochondrium; if it is located in the left lobe of the liver, it may manifest as epigastric pain; if it is located at the back of the diaphragm, the pain may radiate to the shoulders and waist and back. If severe pain occurs suddenly and is accompanied by shock and other symptoms, it is mostly caused by the rupture of the cancer nodules and massive bleeding.

2. Poor appetite, nausea, and vomiting: often caused by liver damage and tumor compression of the gastrointestinal tract, among which poor appetite is the most common symptom. The more serious the condition, the more obvious the symptoms.

3. Abdominal distension: caused by huge tumor, ascites and liver dysfunction. The distension is obvious in the upper abdomen, especially after eating and in the afternoon, and the distension is aggravated. Patients often reduce their food intake to alleviate the symptoms, and are often mistaken for indigestion and not taken seriously, delaying diagnosis and treatment.

4. Fatigue and weight loss: caused by the metabolism of malignant tumors, excessive consumption and lack of food intake. It may not be obvious in the early stage. As the disease progresses, the weight gradually decreases. In the late stage, the patient becomes extremely thin, anemic, exhausted and cachectic. A small number of liver cancer patients with slower disease progression may also temporarily regain weight after rest and supportive treatment.
