They believed that the east is the direction where yang energy rises, so people should sleep with their head facing east all year round to conform to the rising yang energy in the east. Some ancient doctors and health experts believed that the sleeping direction should change with the seasons, with the changes of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the head should face east, south, west or north. This is also to lie in accordance with the dominant energy of the four seasons and conform to the laws of nature, which has certain scientific reasons. However, according to many health experts, it is better to lie in the east-west position.
