Will long-term spray painting have an impact on the lungs?

When a house is newly renovated, many people know that the formaldehyde content in the house is too high, which affects the human lung function and respiratory tract and is not suitable for human breathing. The house should be left vacant for a period of time and not be lived in. Paint also contains high formaldehyde content. So for painters who spray paint for a long time, will this kind of work affect their lung function?

1. The harm of long-term spray painting to human body

1. Irritation: Formaldehyde has a strong irritating effect on the skin and mucous membranes, which can cause dry eyes, tears, blurred vision, nasal mucosal edema, throat discomfort, and skin itching.

2. Toxic effects: It can cause dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, inattention, memory loss and other nervous system damage; abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, general weakness and other digestive system damage; cough, chest tightness, asthma and other respiratory system damage.

3. It can also lead to decreased immunity, menstrual disorders, infertility, neonatal malformations, etc. Children and pregnant women are particularly sensitive to it. Carcinogenic effect: Animal experiments have shown that formaldehyde is both a carcinogen and a cancer promoter, and may cause nasopharyngeal cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, leukemia, colon cancer, etc.

Before spraying paint, the object to be painted must be cleaned. Cleaning can be done with a semi-dry cloth, and then wait for 20 minutes until the moisture on the surface of the object is dry before spraying paint. The methods and requirements for spraying paint on different objects are different, so you need to look at the specific details. When spraying the common flat paint on the board, it is recommended to adjust the viscosity to 16-22 seconds and use a distance of 25-30cm.

When spraying hammer-textured paint, you can use the two-coat spraying method. Spray the base material evenly in the first coat, and then spray the second coat after 15 minutes. It is best to control the viscosity of the spraying within 30-45 seconds. If the viscosity is too low, the paint will easily flow out, the pattern cannot be presented, and the gloss will not be good. If the viscosity is too high, the hammer pattern will become smaller, and the three-dimensional effect will also become smaller.
