When my chin is hooked and my mouth is opened, I will think

The jaw hook is part of the head joint. If the joint in this area is damaged, it will affect people's chewing function. Therefore, when a problem is found in this area, it needs to be treated in time. Otherwise it may cause bigger physical problems. The noise caused by the chin hooking and opening the mouth may be due to the impact of this part, but you didn't pay attention to it at the time of the impact. Today I will give you a detailed introduction on the problem of chin hook making noise when opening mouth.

Temporomandibular arthritis, commonly known as hook pain, refers to the pain caused by dysfunction or structural damage of the temporomandibular joint. Because the cause and pathogenesis of this disease are not yet fully understood, there is still a lack of a radical cure for it. Eliminate all adverse mental and psychological factors, such as improving symptoms of neurasthenia, pointing out that the prognosis is good, enhancing confidence, and using sedatives and sleeping pills appropriately. Avoid opening your mouth too wide, such as yawning or laughing, which may cause joint sprains. If the temporomandibular joint is organically damaged and conservative treatment is ineffective, you can go to the hospital for surgical treatment. Infrared, ultrashort wave, laser, physical therapy, massage and local hot compress also have certain therapeutic effects.

Causes:

1. Mental factors

Psychological factors play a very important role in the occurrence and aggravation of temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome.

2. Traumatic factors

Many patients have a history of local trauma. Such as acute traumas such as external impact, sudden biting of hard objects, opening the mouth too wide (such as yawning); also frequent chewing of hard food, nighttime grinding of teeth, and unilateral chewing habits. These factors may cause joint contusion or strain and dysfunction of the chewing muscles.

3. Occlusal factors

Occlusion disorders can also lead to the occurrence or aggravation of temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome. Such as occlusal interference, excessive tooth wear, excessive molar loss, poor restorations, and low intermaxillary distance. Disorders in occlusal relationships can disrupt the functional balance between the internal structures of the joints and promote the occurrence of this disease.
