In life, many people often have problems with AIDS. In fact, AIDS is a common immune disease. The incubation period of AIDS in the body can be said to be very long. Some people will not break out for several years, and some people may have a little AIDS infection in the lungs. We need to understand the relevant introduction about AIDS. 1 Acute phase (primary infection) It usually occurs 2 to 4 weeks after the initial HIV infection, and some infected people develop clinical symptoms caused by HIV viremia and acute damage to the immune system. Most patients have mild clinical symptoms, which last for 1 to 3 weeks before remission. The most common clinical manifestation is fever, which may be accompanied by general discomfort, headache, night sweats, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, myalgia, arthralgia, rash, lymphadenopathy, and neurological symptoms. HIV RNA and P24 antigen can be detected in the serum during this period. HIV antibodies do not appear until several weeks after infection. The CD4+T lymphocyte count decreases transiently, and the CD4/CD8 ratio is inverted. Some patients may have mild leukopenia and/or thrombocytopenia or abnormal liver function. 2 Asymptomatic period (asymptomatic infection) The patient may enter this stage from the acute phase, or may enter this stage directly without obvious acute phase symptoms. This period generally lasts 6 to 8 years, and its length is related to factors such as the number of infected viruses, virus types, infection route, individual differences in the body's immune status, nutrition and sanitary conditions, and living habits. During this period, as HIV continues to replicate in the infected person's body, the CD4+ T lymphocyte count gradually decreases, making the person contagious. 3 AIDS stage It is the final stage of HIV infection. The patient's CD4+ T lymphocyte count dropped significantly to less than 200/mm3, and the HIV plasma viral load increased significantly. The main clinical manifestations of this stage are HIV-related symptoms, various opportunistic infections and tumors. HIV-related symptoms: mainly fever, night sweats, diarrhea lasting for more than one month; weight loss of more than 10%. Some patients show neuropsychiatric symptoms such as memory loss, apathy, personality changes, headaches, epilepsy and dementia. In addition, persistent generalized lymphadenopathy may occur, characterized by Swollen lymph nodes in two or more locations other than the groin; Lymph node diameter ≥ 1 cm, no tenderness, no adhesion; The duration is more than 3 months. |
