2. Clinical manifestations of white spot disease

In the early stages of the disease, sick fish will rub their bodies against hard objects in the hope of removing nasty pathogens from their bodies. Many small white spots can be seen on the body, fins and gills of diseased fish. Sick fish become emaciated, float on the water surface or gather in one corner, and rarely move. In the later stage, the body surface is covered with a layer of white film, the mucus increases, and the body color becomes dull.

3. Treatment of white spot disease

1. You can take advantage of the fact that white spot insects are not resistant to high temperatures and raise the water temperature to 30 degrees. It promotes the rapid maturation of spores produced on the surface of the fish body, accelerates their growth rate, and causes them to fall off the surface of the fish body.

2. Treatment with mercurous nitrate and malachite green (Note: These two drugs are often mentioned in some books, but they are highly toxic products that can cause great harm to the human body and can easily cause cancer. 3. Treatment with mercurochrome. The key to this method is not to add too much. The water should just turn slightly red. It’s better to add less rather than more! Soak for 5-10 minutes, 1-2 times a day.
