1. Anal fissure

Anal fissure is a prismatic crack or ulcer formed when the skin of the anal canal below the dentate line breaks. It is a common anal canal disease that occurs more frequently in young and middle-aged people and children, but less frequently in the elderly. According to statistics from Europe and the United States, women are more likely to suffer from this disease than men. According to clinical observations in my country, it is more common in men than in women. Anal cancer often occurs in the middle of the back and front of the anus, mostly in the back of the anus and less frequently on the sides. Initially there is only a small crack in the skin of the anal canal, which may sometimes break into the subcutaneous tissue or even the superficial layer of the sphincter. The crack is linear or angular. If the anus is opened, the wound surface becomes round or oval. So, how can we relieve the pain caused by anal sex?

Clinical symptoms of the anus include pain and bleeding. The pain is very characteristic, with a sudden knife-like pain during defecation (caused by feces cutting the skin of the anal canal), followed by a brief relief, and then long-term anal pain (caused by spasm of the anal sphincter after stimulation). It is common in clinical practice that patients are afraid of defecation due to fear of pain, resulting in a vicious cycle of "fear of pain - holding back defecation - dry stool - more pain". Bleeding from the anus can be more or less depending on the degree of blood vessel tearing. It is common to see anemia due to long-term or heavy bleeding from the anus.

Method 1: Diet adjustment

Dietary adjustment is also a good way to prevent anal canker sore. Drink more water, eat less meat, increase the intake of high-fiber foods such as vegetables and fruits, and avoid spicy, fried and other foods. These can keep the bowels open and reduce the occurrence of anal canker sore.

Method 2: Sitz bath to relieve pain

Sitz bath is also an important measure to treat anal and perianal diseases. When anus is present, the patient takes a sitz bath with Glauber's salt or 1:5000 potassium permanganate. You can just take a sitting bath after each bowel movement. The purpose of this is to keep the area around the anus clean immediately after each bowel movement.

For people who are not convenient to sit in the bath (such as pregnant women, stroke patients), flushing can be used. At present, there are many toilets with flushing function on the market. Patients who have the conditions may wish to try them.

Method 3: Oral medication to make stool soft

Patients can take lactulose laxatives or paraffin oil orally to make the stool soft and lubricated. In addition, anal suppositories are also helpful in relieving the inflammatory pain of acute local anal wounds, improving local blood circulation and promoting wound healing. Generally, it can be used 1 to 2 times a day, alternating between use after defecation or at other times.

For areas that have already cracked, applying some medication can relieve pain and promote healing. Usually, in the acute phase, the wound can be applied with ointments such as Shengji Powder and Jiuhua Paste, while chronic anus can be treated with Shengji Paste or Baiji Paste.

At the same time, please be careful about the following points:

1. If the anus does not heal for a long time or the pain is unbearable, an anal resection can be performed under local anesthesia.

2. Preventing and treating constipation is an important measure to prevent anal problems. Adjusting diet, drinking more water, smoking less, drinking less, and eating less spicy food are effective ways to prevent constipation.

3. Women should pay attention to hygiene during menstruation and avoid heavy physical labor. During pregnancy, you should eat more fruits and vegetables to prevent constipation. During childbirth, be careful to protect the perineum and avoid tearing the perineum and anus.

4. During anal examinations such as digital anal examination, using an anoscope or other instruments, avoid using rough force to prevent damage to the anal canal and anal injury. Timely treatment of anal crypt inflammation can prevent the formation of ulcers and subcutaneous fistulas after infection. Timely treatment of intestinal diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis can prevent anal complications.
