Is it normal for a child to have eyesight of 48?

Although myopia is not a physical disease, like other common physical diseases in my country, myopia has become an eye problem that troubles many people. Moreover, if most people have myopia, they will not correct or treat it properly, which will cause the severity of myopia to become more and more serious. Therefore, many parents worry that their children will develop myopia. So when the child’s vision is tested and the result is 4.8, is this normal?

Dear parents, have you noticed that more children around you are suffering from myopia? There is no such thing as a small matter for children. A bad little thing may cause great obstacles to a child's growth, while a good little thing may help a child face the world in a healthy way. Many children in the first grade of primary school are nearsighted. Everyone would wonder, how could they become nearsighted after just one year of school? Nowadays, children living in the electronic age are constantly connected to electronic products that are harmful to their eyes, such as learning machines, computers, and mobile phones.

1. A normal child's vision is that if he can see all 1.0 (5.0) clearly on the eye chart from 5 meters away, his vision level is normal. I am a little bit myopic, it may be false myopia that can be corrected. You need to go to a regular hospital for an eye test to see whether it is pseudomyopia or true myopia.

2. Generally speaking, pseudomyopia does not require treatment or wearing glasses. If you wear glasses, it will develop into true myopia. You should keep a correct posture in life and study, and try not to watch TV or other electronic products. When reading or writing, pay attention to whether the surrounding light is strong or weak, and ensure adequate sleep.

3. Excessive use of the eyes and excessive fatigue of the glasses can also cause false myopia, which will turn into true myopia if you don't pay attention. Therefore, when a child's vision is 4.8, you must first determine whether it is pseudomyopia or true myopia. People with pseudomyopia cannot wear glasses, pay attention to the use of eyes, do eye protection exercises regularly, and use some eye drops, and the child can recover.

Note:

Whether one is nearsighted cannot be determined solely by vision; an eye test is required. Remember that if you have pseudomyopia or slight myopia, you should not rush to wear glasses, otherwise it will increase the speed of myopia. If you really have to wear glasses, you can choose therapeutic glasses. Wearing glasses does not mean you can just read books or watch TV casually. You still need to pay attention to the use of your eyes.
