Yellow fluid oozes out of the wound after surgery

Yellow fluid oozes out of the wound after surgery

In daily life, we often get some diseases. With the development of medicine, surgery has become a common treatment method. After the operation, we must pay attention to maintenance, timely anti-inflammatory and gauze change, and pay attention to the time of removing stitches. After the operation, if the wound is not disinfected in time, it will become inflamed and yellow fluid will flow out. Therefore, you must pay attention to maintenance after the operation and avoid eating spicy and irritating foods.

Solution 1: The wound was not treated in time, resulting in the appearance of local pus. This problem is mainly due to improper wound treatment or failure to clean the wound in time. Taking only anti-inflammatory drugs is not enough because there is necrotic tissue in the wound. It is recommended that you go to the hospital's surgery department in time and ask the doctor to check you. If there is dead flesh in the wound, it needs to be cleaned, disinfected and re-bandaged, and then treated with anti-inflammatory drugs.

Solution 2: The yellow water should be cell fluid and tissue fluid. This indicates that cells around your wound have died. That means it must be infected with bacteria. Maybe in more serious cases there will be pus, it depends on the severity, and the pus is dead white blood cells. It is recommended to go to the hospital for surgical bandaging and oral anti-inflammatory drugs or debridement, disinfection and dressing changes, and use antibiotics to reduce inflammation. This is safer and do not use drugs casually.

Solution 3: After the skin is damaged, the body immediately repairs the wound. First there is an inflammatory phase, which lasts about 2 to 3 days. The damaged area is red and swollen, and there is what you call yellow water, which is actually inflammatory secretions. The main components are collagen and fibrinogen, which have anti-inflammatory and wound protection effects. This is normal, and then a scab will form, fall off, and finally heal. However, since it is an open wound, it is very easy to cause infection, so try to take measures to prevent infection. The wound is disinfected locally with hydrogen peroxide and externally with mercurochrome. If the wound is superficial and less than 5cm in diameter, it generally does not need to be bandaged. If an infection occurs, you should cooperate with your doctor to use antibiotics. Don't wash off the yellow water. It will dry and form scabs. The more you wash, the more scabs there will be. If it's serious, go to the hospital immediately. It's hard to say in summer. The wound should be treated as soon as possible to reduce the chance of infection. If there is no other way, waiting until the next day to treat it will not have much impact. If treated properly, healing will be delayed by a few days at most.
