Why do I sweat yellow

Why do I sweat yellow

The weather is hot in summer and people often sweat. Sweating is a normal physiological phenomenon. But if the color of your sweat is yellow, it means you may be sick. It is best to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if you are sick. If you are sick, you can take the right medicine and try to recover as soon as possible. Yellow sweat may be caused by liver and gallbladder diseases, chromhidrosis, or certain hemolytic diseases.

The causes of yellow sweat are as follows:

1. Liver and gallbladder diseases such as acute and chronic hepatitis, acute and chronic cholecystitis, hepatobiliary stones, cirrhosis, liver cancer, pancreatic head cancer, etc., cause liver dysfunction or bile stasis and blockage, increase the concentration of bilirubin in the blood, and be excreted from the body with sweat, resulting in yellow sweat. Most of these diseases have symptoms such as upper abdominal distension and pain, fatigue, aversion to greasy food, yellow sclera, itchy skin, and yellow urine. Differential diagnosis can be made through B-ultrasound, liver function and other tests.

2. Patients with certain hemolytic and infectious diseases, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, mistaken transfusion of abnormal blood type, and favism will suffer from yellow sweat due to the massive destruction of red blood cells and retention of indirect bilirubin in the blood. Patients with malaria, typhoid fever, leptospirosis, and sepsis develop yellow sweat due to accelerated red blood cell production and damaged liver function. These diseases are more serious and should be detected and treated early. Dietary factors such as eating carrots, oranges, tangerines and other foods, as well as excessive consumption of pigmented foods or drinks, can also cause yellow sweat. Generally, there are no other discomfort symptoms, so there is no need to panic.

3. Chromohidrosis. It is caused by dysfunction of the sweat glands, and under the action of pigment-producing bacteria, a large amount of pigment lipofuscin is secreted, making the sweat colored. It is recommended to see a dermatologist for symptomatic treatment after a clear diagnosis.

4. In addition, young people have active sweat glands. If they work in a high temperature environment, sweat too much, and fail to change clothes in time, the fatty acids and other organic matter in the sweat will react chemically and physically with the air and soap, causing the clothes in the armpits, chest, waist, abdomen, and perineum to turn yellow. This phenomenon has no impact on human health, so there is no need to worry too much.
