Can pityriasis rosea be cured without taking medicine

Pityriasis is a skin disease that is relatively common in the human body. Pityriasis can be divided into other types, such as pityriasis rosea or pityriasis alba. The appearance of these pityriasis is very disturbing, because it affects the appearance of human skin. When facing the disease of pityriasis rosea, many people will take medicine to treat it, and many people do not want to take medicine. So, can pityriasis rosea be cured without taking medicine?

It is possible, because pityriasis rosea is a self-limiting disease. The so-called self-limiting means that the rash can disappear on its own within four to six weeks after the onset of the disease. After disappearing, temporary hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation spots will remain. It is generally rare and there is a possibility of recurrence. For patients with a small rash area and mild symptoms, the condition can be controlled by improving their own immunity or applying some moisturizing and antipruritic glucocorticoid ointments. Alternatively, they can recover without taking medication. This depends on personal lifestyle habits and improvement of resistance to shorten the course of the disease and allow pityriasis rosea to heal itself.

Pityriasis rosea is a common inflammatory skin disease that occurs on the trunk and proximal limbs. It is characterized by rose-colored macules of varying sizes and numbers, covered with sugary scales. The disease is self-limiting and usually lasts for 6 to 8 weeks before healing on its own. However, there are also cases where the disease does not heal for a long time, as many patients with pityriasis rosea are prone to be left with unsightly pigmentation after delaying treatment. Should be treated early. Because pityriasis rosea is self-limiting, the goal of treatment is to relieve symptoms and shorten the course of the disease.

1. In general, hot water washing and soap scrubbing are contraindicated during the acute phase of treatment. Strong irritating topical medications are prohibited. Clinically, many cases are seen where insufficient attention is paid to general treatment, thus prolonging the course of the disease or turning it into autosensitive dermatitis. 2. Antihistamines can be used appropriately, such as chlorpheniramine, cyproheptadine, terfenadine and clematis, etc. Vitamin C can also be used. 3. The treatment principle of traditional Chinese medicine is to clear away heat and cool blood, dispel wind and relieve itching. Generally, Liangxue Xiaofeng Decoction is effective. For mild patients, 30g of Lithospermum officinale can be used, decocted in water and taken once a day. 4. After the acute inflammatory period of ultraviolet radiation is over, ultraviolet spot irradiation can promote the disappearance of damage. 5. For external medication treatment, calamine lotion can be applied externally.
