How to check heart failure

How to check heart failure

Human health is very important, but some people may develop diseases due to various reasons. The heart is the most important organ in the human body. If there is a problem with the heart, it usually requires timely treatment. The specific method of use should be determined according to the specific symptoms of heart disease. Heart failure is a heart disease that everyone is familiar with, and the degree of heart failure varies. Therefore, the treatment of heart failure is not fixed, and some targeted examinations should be performed before treating the disease. How do you check heart failure?

Examination items: X-ray examination, electrocardiogram, ECG monitoring, arterial blood gas analysis, echocardiography

Heart failure tests

Electrocardiogram (Holter monitoring) Doppler echocardiogram Chest film Arterial blood gas analysis Cardiac output (CO) Central venous pressure (CVP) Urinalysis Blood routine test

1. X-ray examination

According to the shape of the enlarged heart, it can be divided into aortic valve type and mitral valve type heart, which is also helpful to distinguish pericardial effusion from cardiomyopathy. Changes in pulmonary vessels and lung fields can be used to determine whether pulmonary congestion is present and to distinguish between active congestion and passive congestion. Active congestion is an important evidence of congenital heart disease with left-to-right shunt, while passive congestion only reflects changes in heart failure.

2. Electrocardiogram

Myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia, ectopic rhythm, conduction block, atrioventricular hypertrophy and strain can be detected, providing objective evidence for the pathology or cause of heart failure.

3. Echocardiography and Doppler ultrasound

For mitral valve stenosis and regurgitation, aortic valve stenosis including bicuspid valve. There are specific changes in aortic valve obstructive cardiomyopathy, pericardial effusion, atrial effusion, vegetations of atrioventricular valve or semilunar valve, and congenital cardiovascular malformations. Ultrasonic Doppler is an important means of diagnosing the cause of heart disease. It can selectively observe the disordered blood flow in a certain part of the heart chamber or large blood vessels, and thereby diagnose the nature and extent of valve damage, as well as the location of congenital malformations.
