How to get rid of stick insects at home

The stick insect is a common reptile also known as the millipede. It can be used as medicine, but it will cause panic if it appears in the home. In fact, the stick insect does not bite people and is non-toxic, but it has many legs and its appearance makes people look particularly uncomfortable. Many people are particularly afraid of crawling insects, especially those with long bodies and many legs, which make them particularly disgusting. So how do you get rid of stick insects if you have them at home?

1. Sprinkle quicklime around your home

Since millipedes like dark and humid places, quicklime can absorb the moisture in the house, making the house dry and the environment unsuitable for its activities, the millipedes will naturally crawl away. This is one way to drive away millipedes.

2. Use triazophos

Triazophos is an organic insecticide, acaricide and nematicide. At the same time, we must also prevent the use of medication from affecting our respiratory tract, and children should not be allowed to come into contact with it.

3. Clean up the environment

Clean the environment around your home and keep it dry and ventilated. Millipedes like humid environments.

4. Realgar

For insects that enter the courtyard or indoors, use methods such as sweeping, stepping, patting, and scalding with boiling water to remove the millipedes. Then sprinkle some lime for disinfection and remove odors. You can also spray "realgar water" to repel insects.

5. Clean up food residues frequently

After eating, especially in homes with children, there are often a lot of food residues. Be sure to clean them up in time. Ants like sweet food and will come in groups once it is scattered on the ground. So if you want to avoid ant infestation, you must keep your home clean.

6. Use pesticides

When using pesticides, you should remain vigilant. First, use them in moderation and do not use them too frequently. Second, leave the scene immediately after spraying the pesticides. After half an hour, open the windows to let the air in. After the room is fully ventilated, enter the room; infants, toddlers and children whose brain development is not yet complete must not come into contact with any pesticides to avoid adverse effects on brain development. Avoid contaminating food and cooking utensils when using pesticides in the kitchen.
