Vaccination is an injection that can prevent certain diseases in the human body. Especially during the peak influenza season, children are easily infected due to their poor physical constitution, so they need vaccination for prevention. In our country, when babies are born, national policy stipulates that some babies need to receive preventive vaccines. However, many parents find that their babies will have some physical problems after receiving the vaccination, such as fever. What should they do at this time? After getting a vaccination, many babies will have a fever. This is because the vaccine has some side effects. Especially for some babies with special physiques, the fever will be more obvious. Some babies' symptoms are not particularly obvious. What should you do if you have a fever after getting a vaccination? If the fever is caused by the vaccine, it is not a big problem. Generally, the fever comes and goes quickly. The normal body temperature of a baby is 36-37.5 degrees, of which 36-37 degrees is the most ideal. Over 37.5 degrees is a low fever, and over 38.5 degrees is a high fever. As long as your baby's fever does not exceed 38.5 degrees or even 39 degrees, try not to take medicine as it will put a burden on the baby's kidneys. Only consider taking medicine if the high fever does not subside or recurs. If the baby is still in good spirits, it means the fever is not very serious and there is nothing to worry about. Don't be too anxious. You can first apply a fever-reducing patch on the forehead, change it every 12 hours, and then use physical cooling methods, wipe the baby's whole body with warm water, especially the palms and soles of the feet where heat is easily dissipated. You must drink more water. The more water you drink, the more sweat you will produce, which can also take away a lot of heat. My baby's fever reached 39 degrees, and I also used this method to cool him down. During the fever, the baby's appetite will be poor, so you can stop feeding him egg yolks, fish and the like. If the high fever does not go away, you can take some medicine. Tylenol is a good choice. If the fever recurs, it is recommended that you go to the hospital to see a pediatrician to see if it is a viral infection. You can also boil water with mugwort, then go to the pharmacy to buy some mugwort sticks, and use one stick in three times. Then use the water to soak your baby's feet two or three times a day. If the condition is serious, you can soak it four or five times. The fever will usually subside quickly. Babies are a vulnerable group and usually have adverse reactions after vaccinations, so parents don’t need to be too nervous. As long as certain measures are taken, the baby’s fever can be reduced. The above methods are all very effective treatments. When the baby’s condition cannot be resolved and is infected with a virus, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time. Don’t cause more serious consequences due to momentary negligence. |
