We all know that the altitude in Lhasa, Xinjiang, my country is relatively high, so the weather in that area is relatively cold and the oxygen is relatively scarce. For some people who have just arrived in that area, it is easy to have altitude sickness. The most obvious phenomenon of altitude sickness is dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Some people even suffer from frequent headaches because of these phenomena. So how can you relieve the frequent headaches when you first arrive in Lhasa? (1). When first arriving at the plateau, everyone will feel varying degrees of shortness of breath, chest tightness, difficulty breathing and other hypoxia symptoms. But this does not mean that you are not adapted to the plateau. If you can protect yourself correctly, the above symptoms will generally improve or disappear after 2 to 4 days. (2). If you take a plane to the plateau, the symptoms of altitude sickness will generally appear in about 12 to 14 hours. Therefore, when you first arrive at the plateau, you must not do strenuous exercise, but lie down and rest immediately. Otherwise, it will take more time to get used to once you feel the reaction. Also, don't take a shower tonight. (3). People often use saliva oxygen to relieve chest tightness. Of course, oxygen inhalation can temporarily relieve symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing, but the symptoms will reappear after stopping oxygen inhalation, delaying the time to adapt to the plateau. If the above symptoms are not very serious, it is recommended that you do not use oxygen, which can help you adapt to the plateau environment faster. Mild altitude sickness will heal on its own without treatment. Do not use oxygen frequently to avoid becoming dependent on it. (4). After entering Tibet, you should eat more carbohydrates and easily digestible foods; drink plenty of water to keep the body well hydrated; and do not eat too much for dinner. It is best not to drink alcohol and smoke. Eat more fruits, vegetables and other foods rich in vitamins. (5). Pay attention to avoid excessive fatigue and maintain a regular diet and daily life. During the first few days after arriving at the plateau, do not take frequent baths to avoid catching a cold due to catching a cold. Colds are often the main cause of acute high altitude pulmonary edema (it is difficult to recover in a state of hypoxia) (6). While in Tibet, you should avoid traveling too frequently and avoid putting too much strain on your body. When you first arrive at the plateau, you must not walk fast, run, or do physical labor. Only after a week can you gradually increase the amount of activity. (7). It must be noted that if the symptoms of the reaction become increasingly severe after entering the plateau, especially when at rest, you should immediately receive oxygen and go to the hospital for treatment. Patients with rare high-altitude pulmonary edema and high-altitude cerebral edema must be given large amounts of oxygen and quickly transferred to lower altitudes while receiving medication. I hope this can help you. Hope you can adopt it. |
