How long is the shelf life of cookies

Cookies are a kind of snack that we love to eat, and their taste is mainly sweet, especially with a strong fragrance. How long can freshly made cookies last? Homemade cookies are safer and do not contain preservatives, but their shelf life is usually only half a month to a month, so the shelf life is very short, and they must be kept in a cool and dry place.

Generally speaking, homemade handmade cookies have a shelf life of 15-30 days because no preservatives or other additives are added during the production process. They must be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place, otherwise the shelf life will be shortened.

If it is handmade cookies sold in the market, the shelf life is uncertain. The shelf life of handmade cookies processed by hand in general workshops is the same as that of our DIY ones. If preservatives and other additives are added, the shelf life can basically be maintained for half a year to a year.

However, I still want to advise everyone that after handmade cookies are made (purchased), once opened, they must be eaten as soon as possible. After all, the shelf life of handmade cookies will be shortened significantly after being exposed to air.

In order to ensure the taste of handmade cookies, we must pay attention to the following points:

1. When the weather is cold, the butter is not easy to soften. At this time, you can turn up the heating (air conditioning) temperature, or use the oven at 40 degrees to soften it. To make delicious cookies, the success rate will be higher only if the butter is completely softened.

2. Let the cream come to room temperature so it is easier to mix with the butter.

3. When squeezing the cookies, you should do it in one go. If they are intermittent, it will not look good.

4. You can make it according to your favorite flower mouth. If you don’t have a piping nozzle, you can shape the cookie batter into a cylinder, wrap it in plastic wrap, put it in the refrigerator to freeze it, then take it out, slice it, and bake it.

5. The baking time is not fixed and needs to be adjusted according to the size of the cookies.

6. The crispness of the final product is related to the degree of whipping of butter, sugar and cream.

7. To prevent the bottom of the cookies from getting burnt during the baking process, place two baking trays together and bake them.
