The principle of hair transplantation

The principle of hair transplantation

Hair can be transplanted. This is not exaggeration, but the result of the development of modern cosmetic medicine. The quantity and quality of hair are the basis of image that people attach great importance to. Once there is a problem with the hair, it will cause great damage to people's image. Therefore, it is very necessary to solve the hair problem. For the problem of thin hair, hair transplantation can be adopted. Let’s take a look at the principle of hair transplantation.

Hair transplantation uses the principle of autologous hair transplantation. It takes the healthy hair follicles that grow permanently at the back of the head and transplants them to the forehead or top of the head where there is no hair. These transplanted hair roots can continue to grow in the new bald area, and their vitality remains the same as when they were in the surrounding area and they will not fall off again throughout your life.

Surgical procedure:

The process of hair transplantation

1. Design hair line

The first step is to design the patient's overall hairstyle line. After the hairstyle line is designed, you can further design the hairstyle of the transplanted part. After the design is completed, an instrument can be used to measure the density of the hair at the back of the head to be extracted, and the area required to be extracted can be calculated accordingly. Once all these are prepared, you can use professional instruments to extract the required number of hair follicles under local anesthesia.

2. Hair follicle cultivation and separation

The extracted hair follicles will be sent to the hair follicle cultivation room for cultivation and separation. The separation process requires 6-7 professionals to carry out, and during this period it takes 2-3 hours to check the nature and quality of the hair follicles. At this time, the patient can take a nap in the lounge, watch TV or surf the Internet, or eat a small amount of food.

3. Transplantation is performed in hair follicle units

When 80% of the hair follicles have been separated, the patient can undergo local anesthesia to undergo the follicular unit transplantation procedure. The transplant process is generally longer. The patient will not feel pain during the operation.

4. Postoperative care: You can go home immediately after the operation without bandaging. You can rinse your hair with cold boiled water 24 hours after the operation, and you can wash your hair normally on the 4th day. The sutures on the back of the head will be removed after the 10th day. After the operation, the transplanted hair will temporarily enter a resting period, and new hair will begin to grow after 2 to 3 months. The transplanted hair has normal physiological characteristics, will grow permanently, and will not be affected by male hormone metabolism. In a successful hair transplant operation, the survival rate of hair follicles can be higher than 95%, because for patients with male pattern baldness, every hair is very precious and cannot withstand casual consumption.
