There is a fleshy bump on my armpit

There is a fleshy bump on my armpit

Some people accidentally found a lump of flesh growing in their armpit while taking a shower. It looks a bit like a granulation tissue. It is very small at first, but after a few months, it seems to have grown larger. It usually does not hurt or itch, and there is no pain when squeezing it with your hands. We say that this situation cannot be ruled out as being caused by lymph node enlargement or cysts, and the patient should go to the hospital as soon as possible for a color ultrasound examination and diagnosis.

1. What is the cause of a fleshy lump in the armpit?

1. If the lump is painful and hard, it may be a local lump caused by lymph node inflammation. A doctor's palpation or color ultrasound is needed.

2. There is a hard lump in my armpit and it hurts. I think it might be caused by folliculitis. It is recommended to disinfect with iodine and then apply Bactroban ointment. Pay attention to keeping the area clean and hygienic, and change and wash underwear frequently.

3. Consider the possibility that it is accessory breast, lymph node enlargement or cyst. You need to go to the hospital's surgery department for a color ultrasound to determine the nature of the foreign body. After confirmation, symptomatic treatment will be the main treatment.

4. Considering the symptoms of infection in the armpit, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. You should pay attention to nutrition and rest, keep a good mood, ensure adequate sleep, and live a regular life to help your body recover.

2. What to do if your lymph nodes are swollen

Consider that you have swollen lymph nodes. Lymph node enlargement is very common and can occur in people of any age. It can be seen in a variety of diseases and can be both benign and malignant. It is mostly caused by lesions in adjacent organs. It is recommended to do routine examination of the organs around the swollen lymph nodes. For swelling caused by general inflammation, it is recommended to use antibiotics for anti-inflammatory treatment. If the cause is unknown, it is recommended to remove the swollen lymph nodes, make a pathological diagnosis, and then provide symptomatic treatment after a clear diagnosis.

3. How to treat folliculitis

The pathogens of folliculitis are mainly Staphylococcus aureus, occasionally Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas and Escherichia coli. To prevent damage caused by pulling, rubbing, and scratching of hair, keep the skin clean and hygienic, and limit spicy and irritating foods. Topical treatment with topical antiseptic, antipruritic and protective drugs. (1) 2.5% iodine tincture: For external use, apply to the affected area several times a day. (2) 1% neomycin ointment: For external use, apply to the affected area several times a day. (3) Bactroban Ointment: For external use, apply to the affected area several times a day. Antibiotics can also be taken orally for treatment.

4. Dietary taboos for folliculitis

Avoid eating foods that are too rich in nutrients: Patients should not eat too much food that is rich in sugar, fat, etc., including liver, meat, onions, etc. Avoid eating dispersing foods: Foods such as cassia twigs, cinnamon, dried ginger, etc. are warm in nature and can easily cause heat to accumulate in the skin, which can indirectly lead to the disease being difficult to cure and very likely to relapse. Avoid eating greasy, hot foods.
